We know remodeling is a big investment, and it’s natural to have questions. Below are answers to the ones we hear most often.
We specialize in residential remodeling, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and whole-home renovations. Whether it’s a small update or a complete transformation, we’ve got you covered.
We are fully insured and work exclusively with licensed subcontractors. Our skilled team—including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC specialists—follows all building codes, and for more complex projects, we collaborate with an architect and structural engineer to ensure the highest standards.
We never require a large upfront deposit. To secure your project in our schedule, we ask for a small percentage of the labor cost (typically around 10%). Progress payments are then scheduled throughout the project, so payments align with the work completed, keeping the process transparent and comfortable for everyone.
The cost of a project depends on several factors, including project size, design complexity, material choices, and labor. We provide detailed proposals so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.
Our goal is to align design solutions and material selections with your budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
We’re happy to start with an initial phone consultation to give you a ballpark estimate of what your project might cost and go from there.
Yes… and sort of! We start with a complimentary in-home consultation, where we provide a verbal “rough” estimate of your project.
If you’d like to proceed, we can provide a written estimate that we’re confident will be within 10% of the final cost.
For projects with larger scopes—like basements or whole-home renovations—we recommend moving to a comprehensive provisional bid, which requires a deposit. This “Final Estimate” stage ensures you have the most accurate picture of your investment.

Homes often hold unexpected surprises— in most cases, we don’t know what’s behind a wall or beneath a concrete floor until work begins. We handle these situations calmly and efficiently.
While we do our best to anticipate costs and be transparent, it’s impossible to predict every scenario. Unlike many contractors, we don’t pad our estimates with built-in ‘unforeseen’ costs, which helps keep your project more affordable.
If any issue does arise that affects the budget, we’ll discuss it with you immediately and provide solutions, making sure ALL parties are in agreement with updated pricing and timelines before proceeding.
Tim brings a strong eye for detail and spatial planning. He can answer questions about layout, placement of elements such as cabinets or walls, and even share insights on current design trends. While we’re always happy to offer our perspective, homeowners who want more in-depth design guidance may benefit from working with a professional designer.
Although we do not have an in-house designer, we partner with several outstanding local designers and are glad to provide referrals. Collaborating with the right designer can make the process more enjoyable and give you added confidence in your material and style choices.
Timelines can vary depending on the project. A bathroom remodel usually takes on average 6–8 weeks, while basements often take 8–12 weeks. Kitchens and full-home renovations can take a few months. We’ll go over your personalized schedule from the start and keep you in the loop every step of the way, so you always know what to expect."
Actually, you’ll have two! Tim and Melissa work together to ensure your project runs smoothly from start to finish.
Tim manages the more detailed, technical aspects of your project, including plumbing specifications, framing details, electrical requirements, and other critical components.
Melissa guides you through material selections, ordering timelines, subcontractor communication, and general project questions.
As a team, we stay in constant communication through group texts and emails, so you can always count on a timely response from one of us.
Absolutely! Homeowners are welcome to source their own materials or send us links to items they’d like us to order.
However, there are certain materials we strongly recommend letting us handle. Construction essentials like drywall, framing lumber, and in-the-wall plumbing options are best left to our expertise. We also suggest letting us order interior doors to ensure the correct size and swing—these details can get tricky!
We will discuss your preferences and help you with any materials questions at the beginning of the project, as well as throughout it.
For most projects, you can remain in your home with minimal disruption. Throughout construction, we use dust barriers, protect your floors, and perform regular cleanups to keep your home safe and livable. Our team and subcontractors will treat your home with respect and we will always do our best to keep construction debris to a minimum.
