Your dream space awaits
Our Estimate Process

  • A close-up shot of a modern workspace featuring a designer sitting at a sleek desk with blueprints and a laptop open, showcasing a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The background should be softly blurred to emphasize the designer, with warm lighting to create an inviting environment.
    Before We Begin

Kickstart your remodeling journey knowledge and expectation.

Before we begin, we ask all potential customers to watch a few of our video testimonials and take a moment to read through our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. These resources will give you a better sense of how we work, what to expect and answers to many common questions.

  • A woman smiling while talking on the phone, exuding warmth and professionalism. She is not looking at the camera, allowing her expression to convey a sense of engagement and customer care. The setting is bright and welcoming, with soft lighting that enhances her friendly demeanor. The background should be clean and uncluttered, emphasizing her as the focal point of the image. The overall composition should be simple, capturing a close-up shot that showcases her genuine smile and connection with the customer
    Initial Phone Call

Let's get to know one another!

We’ll start with a quick phone conversation to learn the basics of your project—what you’re looking to do, your vision, and your budget. During this call, we’ll usually be able to give you a rough ballpark estimate.

If that number feels comfortable for your budget, we’ll move on to the next step.

  • A cozy, well-lit living room where a friendly contractor is engaging with a homeowner at a coffee table. They are discussing remodeling ideas for the basement, bathroom, and kitchen. The contractor holds a tablet showcasing design options while the homeowner looks interested and takes notes. The background features a stylish decor with a warm color palette, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The image should be shot with a 45mm f/1.2 lens to emphasize the expressions and details of the interaction.
    In-Person Consultation

Meet Tim! Owner of Finely Finished.

Once we’re on the same page, we’ll schedule a time for Tim to come out and meet with you in person. This visit gives us a chance to look at your space, talk through details, and better understand your goals. Tim will provide you with a verbal estimate at that time.

If the verbal estimate aligns with your budget we will prepare a provisional written estimate that is within 10% of actual costs and includes a guaranteed not-to-exceed price.

No, that is not actually Tim in the photo, and yes, we used stock images for this page of our website. But all the other photos are of our actual projects!

  • Two hands shaking in a professional setting, symbolizing business deal or agreement.
    Written Estimate Phase

    Accurate pricing, guaranteed.

If you choose to move forward with a final, EXACT bid, then a deposit is required to cover the time spent preparing a comprehensive estimate. This includes obtaining quotes from subcontractors, taking precise measurements, reviewing material options, and calculating costs.

If the FINAL estimate is at or below the guaranteed not-to-exceed price you can:

    1. Proceed with the project as per our agreement, and the deposit is applied to your invoice.

    2. You can decline the proposal and the deposit is non-refundable.

If the FINAL estimate is more than the guaranteed not-to-exceed price, you can:

    1. Accept the proposal and move forward—the deposit is applied to your invoice.

    2. Decline the proposal and receive a full refund of your deposit.
